It takes alot of love and patience to teach school for 30 years, but after my last son graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill, it was time for me to do something I had always wanted to do. I began acquiring rental properties in the 80's, and I decided I needed a license in order to manage them. After retiring, I moved to the beach and went to work for Coldwell Banker. I have always believed in education, and I have continued mine. My designations include the following: GRI,SRES, and ABR. I enroll in workshops all over the state in order to acquire information that will be of benefit to my clients. I have owned investment properties in five states, and I truly enjoy using the skills I have acquired to assist buyers and sellers.
Each beach and town has its own distinct flavor. For instance, fishermen can fish anywhere, of course, but many fishermen love the Holden Beach area because of the combination of ocean, river and waterway inlets and tributeries.Do you like to walk the beach? You might prefer Sunset Beach or Ocean Isle Beach or maybe you want to live on a golf course in the country where you don't have to pay city taxes or do you need to live close to a shopping area where you can walk to all the conveniences.Do you want to live in a natural, wooded community or are you more interested in a low maintenance property? Each coastal area has its own positives and negatives, and you need an agent who will assist you in making the right choices.
In 2011, I will be focusing on my personal properties. I am working with an excellent agent on a referral basis for this year.I have a new roll as landlord.
