I am a Native Southern Californian and feel blessed to have been able to grow up in such close proximity to our beautiful beaches and local mountain areas.
Before working as a Loan Officer, I spent my career rising through the ranks of the accounting and finance departments of many different corporations including Hunt-Wesson, WellPoint and Digital Insight (now Intuit Financial Services). I specialized in budgeting and planning, analysis and reporting…in short analyzing very complex sets of numbers to tell a story about a company’s performance, or make decisions about what types of investments a company should make.
I enjoyed the analysis and number crunching and didn't mind the long hours - what was missing was the feeling that I wasn't really making a difference.
My background in Finance allows me to clearly explain how mortgages work and how borrowing to purchase a home will fit into your clients' overall financial objectives. However, it really doesn't matter how much knowledge or analytical ability I have if I don't communicate well.
I like helping people and I start by ensuring my clients feel as though I am listening to their concerns. My interpersonal style is low key and I prefer to ask questions to ensure I understand what my clients' needs are - I talk as much as needed, but hopefully not more.
Once I understand how I can best help my clients, I get to work assembling the loan package and evaluating the best loan programs available to fit a client's unique financial profile. Then I monitor and supervise the loan process and communicate status regularly to both the Realtor team as well as my client.
Business will always take place between people, no matter how much technology we have at our disposal, and I will always be respectful of this basic business fact.
