In the fall of 2008, I made a decision to quit my management position with a local financial institution to become a Realtor.  After 26 years in banking and struggling through a recent merger; dealing endlessly with upset employees and disgruntled customers, it was time for a change!  I have always held an interest in real estate and felt this was the best time to learn something new while the market was slower.  No regrets about this decision, even though it was scary leaving a salaried position to become self employed.  Some thought I was crazy!

  I have now had my license for one year.  Looking back, I realize how  fortunate I was to be able to get a listing & an accepted offer within 3 weeks of passing my test; this was the sign I needed to assure myself that I made the right decision.  I was also fortunate to work with a great group of people, both within my office, and other agents that I came into contact outside of the office.  Patience and understanding go a long way when you are dealing with a newbie. 

  It is especially rewarding working with first time homebuyers and mentoring them through the process from beginning to end.  Every day brings a new & different experience!
