Jeff Loiacono is not your typical Real Estate agent, this is my story how I transitioned from a professional poker player to an Investor/ Realtor. In 2006 I began playing poker professionally with a handful of successful businessmen. It was then, that I noticed this group of guys would play poker several times a week during a long lunch break, lose thousands of dollars and still walk out of the casino with a smile. At least, on most days. Over time I became friends with some of these businessmen and eventually began asking what they did for a living. Some were doctors, others were lawyers and even in the movie industry. But, the people who lost the most money were big Real Estate Investors. I started to wonder how they could be so successful in real estate but somehow couldn't figure out how to win at poker. I later learned the money these real estate investors lost was pennies to them and they primarily played to enjoy the game.
Over the years, I asked many questions as I saved up to make my first real estate investment in 2010, purchasing a home for my family. Playing poker continued to be my primary source of income until 2015 when I finally took the leap and decided to invest in Real Estate full-time. After that, I deemed the next logical step in my career was to get my real estate license so I could help others secure their families future by building wealth in real estate. What contributed to my success as a professional poker player was that I could analyze situations and find ways to maximize my winnings based on the information I received from my opponent. I became known as one of the best people readers among my peers. It is this skill that has helped contribute to my success in Real Estate Investing.
