Martha’s passion for Real Estate started in 2000, when she was hired on as a trainee loan officer in Newport Beach. Working closely with borrowers, she learned every aspect of the lending business, ranging from loan packaging and processing to lender negotiation. She realized that one of the most important factors of buying or building a home was obtaining a mortgage, and gained knowledge by becoming more involved with the loan processor. In just a couple months, Martha decided to further her education & career by obtaining her Real Estate License, allowing her to add more value to her business.

Martha was recognized 4 years in a row as the top producer in her firm, solidifying her ability to satisfy customers in their needs, in all areas of real estate. In 2004, Martha, along with her husband, opened Monte Vista Mortgage and Century 21 Monte Vista Realty. Within the year, the pair would open Monte Vista Escrow, allowing them to meet every customer need within one office.

In 2008, as a result of the Mortgage Crisis Melt Down, Martha and her husband scaled back their operation. Ever resourceful, Martha shifted focus to the Real Estate Sales side of the transaction, an area originally left to her husband. It was an easy transition as her customer service skills and foundation of mortgage lending provided a one up on most agents.

As the short sales became the “norm,” Martha assembled a team to handle the added processing and new lender requirements, of which they were very successful and closed many short sales.

She is also operating a successful business, a paralegal firm, assisting many homeowners retain their property or remain in it after the foreclosure, not to mention the other legal practice areas that she and her staff offer.

In addition to her primary career Martha is also a Certified Paralegal and Certified as an IRS Tax Preparer and is bi-lingual (English-Spanish) Not to mention married 14 years and a mom of 5 children and 1 grand-child! and let’s not forget Samantha the basset hound.
