| A couple years after losing our Scottsdale horse property to foreclosure, we got the crazy idea to use a 'hard money' lender and buy a house in Downtown Phoenix. Luckily we met Matt at one of the first open house's we visited. We explained our situation and expected a polite "good luck with all that..." Instead, Matt was totally comfortable with the 'hard money' process and was confident that we could make this work. The first thing I noticed about Matt, compared to every other Realtor we have worked with, is that he really 'likes' houses. He approaches every property with the eye of a Contractor - several times we would find him under a house or up in a crawl space. Over the years that we have worked with Matt, he has saved us from wasting time and money by catching small details that would have derailed the funding process down the line. The second thing that jumps out is Matt's "network." From roofing to electric, finance to home warranty, every time we have had a problem Matt has turned us on to a resource that has saved the day. This is huge when choosing a Realtor. I can't over-emphasize this point. Third - Matt is patient. We made it clear when we met Matt that we were going to be extremely difficult clients. My wife and I have very different priorities in a home and no search is ever going to be easy. There were days when we made Matt's life quite difficult, but it never phased him. We ended up buying a house downtown, with Matt's help. Once we re-established our credit, Matt sold that house for a substantial profit - to a buyer he found. He then helped us get back to our old neighborhood by negotiating a great deal on our new home. We would recommend Matt without reservation, and will continue to work with him for our future Real-estate needs. |
