Get to Know Melinda Beuf
Melinda is interested in meeting affordable housing needs, smart economic development, and the preservation of open space. She serves on two planning boards and two committees on creating efficiencies through inter-municipal/agency collaboration and is a life member of the Mohonk Preserve. She and her carpenter husband live happily at the base of the cliffs with Otto the dog and Alice the cat.Her initial involvement with Ulster County started in the ‘90s when she and her husband would visit the area to hike and climb. In 2002 they set one foot in the county as second homeowners and in 2004 put down the other foot when they sold their NYC apartment and moved up full-time. At the same time they invested in a multi-family rental unit, land and another single family home, thus providing Melinda with personal experience in the nuances of each type of property.
