I've been involved with photography since my senior year in high school when my girlfriend bought me a camera for my birthday. The best birthday present ever and I proceeded to learn about photography ever since. I majored in photo communications at Cal State University Fullerton, was a staff photographer at the Orange County Register, adjunct teacher at UCLA for the staff of the Daily Bruin and at Cal Baptist University, Riverside, too. I have owned my business, Michael Kitada Photography since 2000 and have delighted in make great images for my varied clients that range from the Irvine Company, PetCo, T-Mobile, and discriminating brides throughout Southern California and beyond.
I've been lucky enough to travel the world shooting assignments in Europe, Asia and North America. My work has been featured in Forbes, TV Guide and even the cover of Newsweek magazine. I have photographed the Academy Awards, The Emmys, The Grammys, The MTV Awards and most every sporting event in America.
