MARGARET WODA, REALTOR® and Associate Broker
My family had just moved into our second new home in three years when I decided to leave teaching behind and become a REALTOR®. Anything I learned would surely come in handy for a young military family that was subject to frequent relocation. The rest, as they say, is history. Real estate became the career of a lifetime.
My clients became friends, my friends became clients... and pretty soon there was no distinction. My roles in this profession have changed from time to time, but the satisfaction of walking side by side with my clients to help them achieve their real estate goals is not subject to retirement.
In fact, I recently partnered with two colleagues at Long & Foster Real Estate to help me help my clients in Maryland and Delaware. Please contact me the next time you or someone you know is looking for an experienced real estate agent who will listen to you and help you achieve your goals.
MARYLAND / DELAWARE
CROFTON, MARYLAND and the neighboring communities of Bowie, Crownsville, Davidsonville, Gambrills, Millersville, and Odenton, are located within a triangle formed by Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis, Maryland - about a half hour to each. Local residents can literally go boating in the Chesapeake Bay, watch a ballgame in Baltimore, and attend a concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in the same day. It's a unique lifestyle, unlike anywhere else in the world!
MILLSBORO, DELAWARE is located about 30 minutes from Lewes, Dewey, Rehoboth, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island in Delaware and Ocean City in Maryland. BUT... if you're considering retirement in Delaware, Millsboro is about a half hour closer to the Bay Bridge, making the visits to your favorite dentist, hair dresser or neighbor more convenient than living at the shore.
Let's get started on the road to YOUR next home! Contact me today. Whether you want to buy or sell - in Maryland or Delaware - I have the experience to help you achieve your goals.

Margaret advised me of what I needed to do before selling the house I had lived in for over 40 years. Margaret truly is able to "see things through a buyer's eye" and recommended appropriate changes/staging. I followed her instructions (most of them), so the house looked great and got an immediate sale in one day! She never pressured me and I felt that I could call her anytime for help/advice. She had many helpful tips about selling and excellent referrals for needed services. The closing went very smoothly. She also helped me find a lovely apartment to rent. I would recommend Margaret to anyone and I already have! The new owners are very happy too.

My fiance and I could not have found a better agent to have on our side! Margaret has been in the real estate business for 30 some years and was so good at explaining things in terms that we could understand. If there is one thing I learned through the process of buying our first home, it is that having an agent that you can trust makes ALL the difference in the world. With Margaret, we knew that she was as diligent with our home buying process as she would have been with her own… very thorough, very professional, very GOOD. She presented us with ideas that we would have never thought of, explained things in terms that made it so simple to understand, and completely put us at ease throughout the whole process… from looking at houses, to pointing out pros and cons, to sitting down with us to write our contract, all the way through closing. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME… We absolutely love our new home and would have never even thought to look at this neighborhood. Thanks to Margaret we found the home of our dreams… only better.

Margaret's willingness to do whatever is needed to complete a real estate transaction is extraordinary. She is very professional, forthright, and knowledgeable. It is easy to find a REALTOR who will tell you what you want to hear to get a listing, write up an MLS listing, and then tell you that the only way to sell/rent the home is to lower the price. Margaret does her homework upfront, gives you an informed opinion, and then works hard to close the deal. She does not hesitate to go above and beyond the level of service that you would normally expect.

Margaret was referred to me through a friend who highly recommended her. She did not disappoint. When we first met I was impressed with the homework Margaret had done on the market value of my home, demonstrating a range in value and where she thought my neighborhood was trending. She also provided excellent advice on how to make it more marketable. Buyers know it is a “buyers market” and feel they have control of the process. After the contract was signed, the buyer’s agent tried to renegotiate the deal twice. Margaret was invaluable to the negotiating process. She was calm yet firm with the buyer’s agent, keeping me up to speed and advising me on creative solutions. Though her efforts she kept the contract at its original price and the whole process from listing to settlement was about 45 days. I found Margaret to be trustworthy, communicative and truly looked out for me. For anyone who is looking for an agent they can depend on and take a lot of the worry/stress of them. I highly recommend her.

We are pleased to provide a reference for our Long & Foster Real Estate Agent, Margaret Woda, who showed us numerous compelling homes, furnished valuable information about each community, connected us with other top-rate professionals, and navigated us through negotiations with a challenging seller. First and foremost, Margaret listened intently in assisting us to find a house perfect for our needs and wants. She also provided valuable information and insights for our consideration, careful not to advise our decision. She assisted us in getting, relevant public records, various home inspections, and home improvement remedial advice. Her suggested contractor has since become a valued partner in our desired improvements. In the difficult economic environment, our seller was quite aggressive in protecting her interests which, without Margaret's experience, could have been costly to us in our efforts to secure our dream house. She was as excited as we were at closing, which demonstrates her interest in the happiness of her clients.

Margaret was an immense help for my wife and I when we bought our home in Bowie, MD. I am in the military and received orders on short notice. Margaret responded immediately to my request for an agent and helped me find our home in an amazing 3 days! She was able to help us close while we were moving across the country from Seattle, WA; handling everything for us and setting us up with a great bank in the area for our mortgage. She made the purchasing process as headache-free as it can possibly be. Her fantastic knowledge of the area was very helpful. We knew what we wanted and she was able to find it for us even though we were not familiar with Bowie. I would recommend this agent to anyone, especially military members as she has lived the life of a military spouse and knows what we go through in our frequent moves. Thank you so much Margaret!
