I'm back in real estate with Nell Wyatt after a nine-year sabbatical where I worked at my alma mater, Millsaps College, as a major gifts fundraiser. This opportunity also allowed my two sons to attend Millsaps. It was indeed a blessing for my little family. I'm grateful to be back with Nell and so glad to be in real estate in my hometown.

In addition to my real estate work, I've been a freelance writer for many years. I've enjoyed a wonderful writing relationship with Mississippi Magazine since 2002, and have written for other publications and organizations over the years. I really enjoy interviewing people and hearing their stories, and it is an honor to write about them. 

I think that's why I enjoy real estate so much - I get to spend time with people. Few careers offer the chance to really get to know people in a meaningful way. Not so in real estate. Agent and client are working together toward a common goal, and, along the way, they develop a friendship. I've always said that when you look at houses with someone, you really bond with them. Home is personal, the place where we retreat from the world, and my desire is to help people find the place that is right for them.
