I came from England to St Croix on a whim in 2001 and I'm still here. It could happen to you if you're not careful.  I changed career in 2006 from Antiques restorer to real esate agent. I had a prior interest in real estate as my father had a 4 generation real estate business in London called "Field and Sons " (much to my chagrin as a young girl.) Not wanting to join the family business, I went my own way and became a talented furniture restorer specializing in wood work and French polishing for 15 years.  Real estate seemed to be calling me in 06 when I was looking for a change and I guess the business is in my blood. I hit the ground running after passing the real estate exam and had a great first and second year. My first real estate sale on St Croix was a $2.5 million home but I have endeavored never to pigeon hole myself with one category of real estate and love to sell land, condo's, commercial, first time homes aswell as the exclusive properties.
