Upon getting her Broker's license in 2005 Pam received the prestigious CREST  award.  Pam has been a Managing Broker, an Assistant Broker and a Career Development Manager for Prudential Tropical Realty ( Now Berkshire Hathatway).

Pam graduated Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.  She did her internship at Yale New Haven Hospital and her graduate work at University of New Haven in Business and Accounting.   Pam was Vice-President and Owner of a successful retail business with her husband, Rick, for more than 22 years.  As an executive member of the Hamden Plaza Merchants' Association from 1989-1999,  she revitalized the association by developing and implementing their annual marketing strategies.   Working with the Mayor's office, Pam worked with national developers, including National Shopping Centers and Kimco, to revitalize Hamden's "Magic Mile" as part of a major redevelopment project. The Cohn's began their residential and commercial sales experience in Connecticut.

Pam has always been active in the community.  She was the Youth Commissioner and a youth advisor for high school teens 1996-2001.  Pam was also the Mayor's liaison on the "Task Force for Quality Education".   As a resident of Palm Harbor, Pam has stayed actively involved in the community as illustrated by her membership in the Women's Council of Realtors (WCR), Toastmasters,  and the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Buying & selling in Pinellas county since the 1980's has given Pam her background, knowledge and appreciation of the area.

Pam's extensive background, combined with strong leadership skills, makes her uniquely qualified to assist homeowners and buyers with all their real estate needs.  Pam's business philosophy is sharing information and exchanging ideas benefits everyone, whether it's a client or a business peer.

Pam and Rick, the FromCavesToCastles, team focus on residential real estate.  They started buying and selling in Pinellas County Florida back in the 1980's and that is their primary area: from Tarpon Springs down to St. Pete Beach.

"Sometimes, Buying and Selling homes can be very stressful."  People are dealing with what may be their most valuable asset. Our job is to help them make the best decision for their personal situation.  I think my social work background helps me as much as my business background.  Each Buyer or Seller has different needs."

Pam and Rick work with First Time Home Buyers, who may need help building or cleaning up their credit first, finding a mortgage broker or lender to work with them, and going over the importance of not overextending themselves. " There are a lot of issues they may not have thought of, such as where do they work and how much time are you willing to commute?  Counseling is an important part, to give them the whole picture."

Relocationis another specialty area.  There is so much to coordinate when people are moving from another part of the country or even outside of the country.  Sometimes when a family is relocating, only one member is here.  Pam takes pictures of the "serious contender" houses and send a slide presentation to the others to keep them as involved as possible.  When the family comes in for the final choices it means not just looking at houses, but showing where the schools are, movie theaters, parks, a few good local eateries, and of course our beautiful beaches ...making them feel at home. "We are not just selling homes...it's a life style.

"We work with a lot of Seniors, who may be down sizing, going into independent living or assisted living.  There can be several special needs here, from helping them find the right facilities,  setting up estate sales, cleaning out houses, knowing differences between POA, Guardians, Trustees and who they or family members need to speak with.  You need to have a pool of resources ready to assist them and NOT rush them."

"Our first property in Palm Harbor Florida, was a vacation home.  When we moved here permanently, some of our first clients were others looking for Vacation or Second Homes.  These clients, and our sphere of influence from them, have always been a strong part of our clientele.  Attention to detail is vital here, since so much starts out long distance.  We may have a client on line for months before they ever come to Florida and we meet them.  We also deal with Internationalclients, looking to make Florida their winter home or vacation home. Aside from the attention to details, customs, understanding and respect are key ingredients here.

"If you treat people well and look out for THEIR BEST INTERESTS you can't go wrong.  It may not be the fastest way, sometimes it even means telling people not to sell at this time.  Doing the right thing is the basis for a lasting business and makes me proud of what we do."
