For those of you who are not that familiar with Nova Scotia, then let me introduce you. Nova Scotia is located on Canada's eastern seaboard. It is one of Canada's smaller provinces, and has a population of just under one million. Nova Scotia is a peninsula and is bounded on one side by the Bay of Fundy (known for the highest tides in the world) and bounded on the south and east by the Atlantic. Nova Scotia's weather is much like that of Massachusets; they have the weather one day and we get it the next. Nova Scotia is headquarters of Canada's navy. It is home to five universities and has a well educated work force. Nova Scotia is well located by air through an international airport and has a flying time of under 2 hours to New York, Washington, Bostn, Montreal and Toronto and is just over 5 hours flying time to London.

The south shore of Nova Scotia is known for its beauty and for its historic towns and quaint fishing villages, such as Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. These areas are the most sought after as far as real estate is concerned for their beauty as well their close location to the capital city of Halifax and Halifax International Airport. Flights from most major eastern seaboard cities are under 2 hours, and flying time to the U.K. is just over 5 hours and direct flights run daily.

Nova Scotia is a welcoming place, with a live-and-let-live attitude. We value our neighbours and there is a real sense of community, and a very good quality of life. My client from Washington calls it the Bar Harbour of yester-year. I have often heard Americans say it is "like going back 30 years in time" and and that is ok with us.
