Paula Springer is a certified professional stager with over 8 years as owner of Key Elements Home Staging & Interiors. Her hands-on background in the art of staging is diverse, rooted in retail display, catalog photo styling, art gallery management, sales of construction materials, and fine arts education. Her staging experience includes a vast array of success stories, with wide referral base of real estate brokers,  staging for new home builders, furnishing  luxury homes and condominiums. As a color consultant, clients rely on her recommendations for upgrades including paint color, flooring, countertops, and lighting. As Senior Stager within the industry, she speaks to groups regularly to promote staging and is available for upcoming dates.

 

Paula’s Green BiographyIn 2000, just one year before starting Key Elements Home Staging & Interiors,  Paula co-designed curriculum for and completed the Healthy House Training on Indoor Air Quality for Building Professionals offered by the American Lung Association (AMA) of Washington. She is also certified as a Master Home Environmentalist by the AMA of Oregon. Past positions include Executive Director of NW EcoBuildilng Guild and membership manager for Certified Forest Products Council promoting FSC certification in North America. Her eco-career began in 1990 when Paula became a department lead for environmentally-friendly building materials at EcoLogical Wisdom in Seattle’s Walllingford District. When she got involved with the Phinney Neighborhood Center’s Think Green Home & Garden Fair she found her passion for promoting eco-building.  She went on to coordinate exhibits for ecotrade shows and green building fairs such as Building with Value 1993 and Sustainable Building Northwest 1997 before landing her non-profit directorship at NW EcoBuilding Guild. In 1999 Paula participated in the development of a Regional Sustainable Building Action Plan with Seattle King County and METRO. Paula has attended numerous events like the U of O Sustainable Business Symposium, Bioneers Conference San Francisco, NW EcoBuilding Guild Fall Retreat and GreenPrints Atlanta where she met her husband Douglas (who heads DeConstruction Services at The Rebuilding Center in Portland after a 30 year stint as a homebuilder / developer.) In her spare time, Paula is either hiking, doing yoga or in her studio refurbishing furniture and décor to use in her decorating business. Paula also is an expert in vermicomposting and is currently developing her own brand called Pure-Bred Red Worms along with building a new wormbox using recycled lumber.
