My roots are here in Louisville!   My family has resided in this community for four generations and I'm very proud to call Louisville my town.  Many years ago my family not only lived here but many built businesses here. My grandfather had a plumbing business and built our family home in 1945. At that time Louisville was known for its generosity, hospitality and pride. The people of Louisville were very supportive of our service men and women and I remember my mother and aunt would decorate the graves of  those who served  with flower pedals.  They became well known in the community and the town's people referred to them as the "flower girls".  Our town has a memorial to honor those who served and my uncle's name is at the top of the list.   I have many wonderful memories of ice skating at Constitution park or roller skating at the Louisville Rollertorium and enjoying a big frosty mug of root beer at Stewards Drive-In.  I remember people use to call it a one horse town but our one horse town has blossomed into a much larger community. Residential, commercial, and industrial development continue at a steady pace. With new homes, new schools, and many beautiful parks.  But through all the growth Louisville still remains a small town in our hearts.  It is still a family-oriented communtiy with beautiful residential neighborhoods just minutes away from a modern regional medical center; and many recreational opportunities.    Louisville is a small size city offering residents big city services and small town hospitality, friendliness and pride. Known for its generosity, residents give freely of their time to volunteer for many worthwhile causes.  You will find an excellent school system, beautiful parks for our children of all ages, many recreational activities, shopping, low crime rate, strong community involvement, and even an airport, how's that for a one horse town!   I have lived in Louisville for 26 years now, raised my son here and like many residents consider this community an excellent place to reside .  If you are thinking of buying a home here, I can't think of a better place to put down your roots.    Yes, my roots are here in Louisville.
