Pennsylvania is rich in its architectural diversity.  In the Susquehanna Valley, structures dating from the early 1800's can easily be found peppering the countryside.  In many cases, these early buildings share the neighborhood with new homes utilizing the latest building trends.  In this progressive, yet historic landscape it is important for an inspector to be educated on the newest building methods as well as the building methods and materials of days gone by.  It is equally important for an inspector to utilize the latest equipment and tools during the inspection process.  As such, I am the 1st inspector in the Susquehanna Valley to receive the designation of Infrared-Certified Thermographer.  Thermography uses heat signatures to identify possible dwelling defects.   I am proud to be able to offer my clients this technology.    Having been born, raised and now living in this area, I know this a great place to live and work, and I take a great deal of pride in applying my expertise and inspection skills here.

As a way of preserving the community, I am a member of the Central Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Group.  The prospect of helping to preserve the historic features of this area via this group is exciting.  Also important is my membership in the Berwick Area Landlords Association (BALA) and the PA Residential Owner's Association (PROA).  Both of these organizations recognize the challenges facing both landlords and tenants within PA.

As a home inspector I am often asked to explain why something happens around a dwelling or how a particular home system or component works.  Especially for the first-time home buyer, understanding the processes affecting a home can be daunting.  Answering such questions about 'Building Sciences' is one of the most important aspects of my profession.   If you are a member of a group or organization located in the Susquehanna Valley and would be interested in learning more about  a home and its systems or Infrared Thermography, please feel free to contact me.  I would be happy to taylor a presentation for your civic group or organization.

Inspection services gladly performed in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Union, and Lycoming Counties.
