Get to Know Patrick Welch

Patrick was born and raised in the Vail Valley after his parents moved to Vail in 1968 to pursue their love of skiing.  Born in 1975 and after graduating from Battle Mountain High School in 1993, Patrick attended the University of Northern Colorado. Patrick graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1997 and joined his father at Slifer Smith & Frampton in 1998.  "It has been wonderful to create a partnership in a business we both enjoy."   The years of mentor ship by his father are invaluable in this profession.  Patrick resides in Eagle Ranch with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Logan, who was born in 2009, along with their Welsh Corgi and two cats.  Patrick has a passion for fishing and spends most of his free time chasing trout in our local streams,  fishing for other species in reservoirs throughout the state, or simply enjoying a scenic float with friends and family. Learning to ski at a very young age, it became second nature for Patrick, and he still enjoys every opportunity he gets to make some turns.  " I am so lucky to live where I do and I get to enjoy our surroundings everyday like so many around the world who come to visit.  Patrick is forever thankful his parents had the vision to move to the area in the late 1960s and raise a family here.  Now Patrick enjoys the opportunity to help others realize the same dream.
