Get to Know Raine Carraway (Michelle Carraway)
I was born and raised in Morehead City, North Carolina, and moved to the Catawba Valley area in 2002, after meeting my husband while a student at Appalachian State University. We currently live in the Chesterfield community, between Morganton and Lenoir, with our son Robert and multiple pets.
In my spare time I enjoy offroading in my Jeep (it's big and purple, can't miss it!), photography, reading, cooking, volunteering, and hiking and camping near Wilson's Creek. I am also an advocate for autism, ADHD, and general mental health care and awareness and for harm reduction programs and addiction treatment.
I worked as a real estate agent from 2007-2009, took off a few yeard after my son was born and then shifted to the automotive industry, before returning to real estate in early 2022.
My passion to help others, excellent customer service skills, and strong background in digital media and marketing allow me to deliver outstanding results. I will takes time to listen and understand your wants, needs, and overall situation in order to create the best solution for you.
I am a member of the Burke County Board of Realtors and Canopy MLS and serves Burke County, Caldwell County, and the surrounding western foothills of North Carolina, including Morganton, Lenoir, Valdese, Drexel, Connelly Springs, Nebo, and Lake James, NC.

Certifications
My specialty is working with former FSBOs and expired listings, to get these homes sold. Too many people have wasted time and money either advertising online or in newspaper ads, or paying an agent who put up a sign and then failed to stay in contact with them or market the listing property. My goal is to find these sellers and to help them get their home listed at the right price, marketed effectively, and sold as quickly and as satisfactory as possible.
I also enjoy working with first time buyers and people relocating to the area. Buying a home can be a challenging experience, and my goal is to help make it into an exciting and rewarding step into a new part of your life. I believe in listening to your wants and needs and using them to find the home that most suits your taste, budget, and lifestyle.
I can work with buyers and sellers of homes and land anywhere in Caldwell, Catawba, Alexander, or Burke County, but the areas I'm most familiar with are northwest Caldwell County, West Lenoir, and eastern Burke County.
