I was raised in Dallas, Texas, and my wife PJ and I raised our family in Forney, Texas for over 25 years. In 2002, we purchased a lake house on Cedar Creek Lake for our family to enjoy. We loved it so much that when our kids were gone and raising their own families, we decided to make Cedar Creek Lake our permanent home.

I semi-retired in December 2005 after spending 28 years in the marketing industry and spent the last three years managing properties in the Cedar Creek area. In February 2008, my son RJ Avery started Avery Properties/ Chandler Realty. He has been very successful, and as I watched him grow and expand his services, I decided to get my real estate license and provide the same quality realtor service in the Cedar Creek Lake area.
