I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to do something I thoroughly enjoy. I am able to work with a great network of people to buy and sell real estate in the greater Bakersfield area. In order for you to become more familiar with my services, I thought I would explain a little more about myself just in case you have a real estate need in the future and you would like to consider me for the job.
On your marks, get set, go! I enjoy living life in the fast lane and I am proud to say that I am able to live that lifestyle after fifteen years of being a competitive racecar driver. I love living life on the edge and I believe my personality shows that. I’m a go getter and won’t let any obstacle stop me along the way. I began my racing career with quads and motorcycles as a teenager. During the 1980’s I ran a stock car. At first I was racing on dirt tracks, and finally on some of the fastest half mile oval tracks on the west coast. (Mesa Marin), right here in Bakersfield. I worked my way up the ladder and soon had sponsors for my cars. My favorite sponsorship was with Jack in the Box! Even though I’m not racing on the track now, I am racing to get deals closed for my clients. I still love the sport and make it my hobby to enjoy watching racing either in person or on the television.  One of my greatest accomplishments in racing was at a modified event at a Mesa Marin. There were about 200 racers in the race and we placed 11th. It’s definitely an adrenaline rush at each turn and I’m lucky to have had such a great experience while growing up. Racing allowed me to stay on top of my game at all times. I’m aware that one change or mistake can change a life and I believe I use this same mentality in the real estate field today.
I first became attracted to real estate after working a 9-5 job as a service advisor for Mercedes Benz. Although I loved being around cars, I knew that I could be so much more productive in another field. I knew real estate was the best fit for me because it let me have freedom on the open road, where I was able to make my own pit stops along the way!
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, but also spent some years in Fresno. My family moved to Fresno when my father was interested in buying land near that area. Sadly, we were shocked by the death of my father at the young age of 46.  This was a terrible time for my family and we had to go through many difficult adjustments.  It was especially hard for me because my father and I were very close and I was just leaving high school to head off to college. He wasn’t even able to attend my high school graduation, so I had to make the big decisions without getting any advice from one of my greatest mentors.
One of my proudest moments was when I earned the “Bank of America Achievement Award of Field of Trade and Industry”. This was the impetus to pledge myself to future success and service to society. I used this scholarship to attend Reedley College, in Reedley California, where I majored in industrial technology. During and after college I also kept up my main hobby as a motorcycle technician.  Doug Wilson, my first boss, is my greatest hero. He believed in me, and saw that I had determination and dedication in my eyes within the first few moments he met me. He instilled hardworking values in my life, and I try to emulate his ideals each day.
Although I have been in the real estate business for over ten years, not all of those years have been in sales. I first started doing home inspections. I believe that a major turning point in my career was when I was aware of the rewards of putting together a successful business. I became a certified Real Estate Inspector with the “CREIA Badge”. It’s a great feeling when you can watch your business grow right in front of your eyes. I believe this has helped me with the sales side of real estate, too, because I have a great eye when viewing and showing homes, which gives me an advantage in the real estate industry that few other realtors have!  I believe my clients appreciate that I have so much knowledge about the houses that I show them, and that they reap those benefits. I represent my clients as their agent, while at the same time I use my expert eyes to preview any issues that the home may have.
I recently joined a committee at the Board of Realtors called Community Spirit in which we help senior citizens each month by cleaning and fixing up their homes. It’s always great to give back to the community and I am always using inspector eyes to help better their homes. I treat my clients like family and once I work with you, I hope to be your agent for life!   Another one of my greatest moments in real estate was when I sold a HUD home; I had to work hard and long for a Veteran with a VA loan. I had to go the extra mile because there were difficult issues along the way, including discrimination against the buyer.  I wasn’t going to let anyone stop me, but instead with hard work and determination I was able to close the deal.
I am blessed to being living the life I was given and I wouldn’t be able to do it without my wife Lisa.  I am so thankful for her. She is my best friend and my hero because she shows such dedication, loyalty, and love to me each day.  We each have two children from previous marriages; Brianne (27), Lauren (26), Jeremy (24), and Tim (24). They are all successful and follow our footsteps of having that “go getter” attitude that is necessary in life. I am proud to say that I am a grandfather to my amazing four year old grandson, Kayden. I believe that I am his hero in life, because we have an incredible bond. I am fortunate to own my own business, so that I can be flexible with my time to help him grow up.
Other than the real estate world I enjoy spending most of my time in the outdoors. I believe the perfect day is when I’m either boating, fishing, taking my RV out for a spin, or spending time with my grandson. I always stay busy and I’m especially passionate about working on my own projects. Over the years I have done a lot of welding and even built my own roll cages in the cars. It’s amazing to see what you can do with creativity and passion in life. In the future I hope to own rental property, which would allow me to retire and spend more quality time with my family.
Whether it’s on the race track or finalizing a deal, I always want to be the first to reach the finish line! If you ever have any real estate needs in the Bakersfield area, I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
Regards,
Raymond Beasley
