Rick majored in Economics and graduated from the University of Richmond with honors in 1983.  Rick Stockel invented the first hypo-allergenic Baby Shampoo in the mid 1980's and brought the product to market with the trademarked name of Tender Years Baby Shampoo.  Rick was founder and President of this firm PureCare Laboratories, Inc.

Rick was also President of Childs Play Industries, Inc. which owned and operates several retail locations in Central Virginia selling children's products.
