Originally from South Dakota and Minnesota, I've also lived in Kansas, Texas and California before settling in a beautiful mountain town outside Denver, called Evergreen.
I graduated from the U of M with a degree in Sociology, however opted for careers in sales, marketing and training before starting my own staging and redesign business in 2002.
Along with working for an airline, I sold real estate and in California and then pursued a mortgage banking career in Texas and Colorado which led to a senior level management position overseeing national sales, marketing and training....where I taiought loan officers how to market to real estate agents.
My personal AND business philosophy is that 'sharing is supreme'...what we give of ourselves to our associates, clients and our industry, will come back to us in unexpected and amazing ways. My favorite saying is "There is a destiny that makes us brothers, none goes his way alone, all that we send into the lives of others, comes back into our own." ---unknown
I am a professional member of the national speakers association and have presented programs across the country for both IRIS (www.weredesign.com) and NAPO.
In February I became Executive Director of IRIS, a 1000+ member international group of redesigners and stagers.
As an approved trainer for IRIS, the Interior Redesign (and Staging) Industry Specialists, I teach a five day redesign-staging certification program and a three day staging certification program.
I am a certified Visual Coordinations Instructor.
As a published author, I have created numerous staging-specific marketing and promotional products.

After staging and redesigning for two years, I started the training side of my business in 2004 initially offering one and three day staging and redesign classes. As the media exposure boosted the interest in both these fields, it became apparent that there was a need for a professional training program that encompassed more than just teaching the redesign and staging process...but a huge need for a turn-key training system that would give students everything they needed to launch, gorw and prosper in a staging and redesign business.
I facilitate live, certification training programs in my design studio in Evergreen, Colorado as well as offer a one on one mentoring program for those who need a boost or a business redesign. To accomodate those who are not able to attend a course in Colorado I provide a variety of teleclasses, webinars and learn-on-your-own-schedule educational tools.
Continuing education is provided to both my alumni and IRIS members in the form of monthly teleclass/conference calls; a weekly Two Tip Tuesday ezine (ALL stagers and redesigners are welcome to sign up); annual educational conferences; and group mentoring programs.
In addition to my business, I volunteer time and resources to my community, Mt. Evans Hospice and the Evergreen Animal Protection League.
