Jim first entered the real estate business in the Denver, Colorado, area during the mid 1980's when the economy was on a downward spiral with more foreclosures than listings on the market. Learning real estate at it's low has given him more success in listing and selling homes because, as he learned you must be innovative in marketing homes in a slow market, Jim says "Anyone can list and sell homes in a good market". Moving to the DeKalb area in 1994, getting his real estate license and within a couple of years back at the level of sales he enjoyed in Colorado. Since 2002 Century21 Elsner has awarded him with multi-million dollar producer and in 2007 was rewarded with the Century21 Top Agent Retreat in Hawaii.

Books are distributed to local elementary schools by residents of Oak Crest Retirement Center. Jim feels this is a wonderful way to give back to the community and hopefully get young children started reading early.
