My name is Shara Parker. I've lived in Austin since 1977 and absolutely love it.  I went to school here, raised my son here and plan on growing old here. I enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities in Austin. Some of my favorite things to do include sculling on Town Lake, boating on Lake Travis and enjoying sunset dinners on Lake Austin.

The natural beauty adds to Austin's eclectic culture. I believe there is something in this city that insures everyone feels at home. Every part of Austin has little surprise nitches such as Zilker Park Hillside Theater in Central Austin, the veloway and Wildflower Center in Circle C Ranch, the Aboretum for great shopping and restaurants in Northwest Austin, art filled SoCo and the party district downtown. I love all parts of the city and have an affinity for the picturesque views of Westlake Hills and the contrast of the lake and Hill Country views of Lake Travis.
