|"In the Fall of 2013 I decided to investigate the opportunity to sell my home in Northridge as I had not lived there in several years and it was rented, albeit managed by a great rental group. However, it appeared that the renters had left the house needing more repairs to make it ready for the next tenants than I was prepared to pay. My rental agent referred me to Renee Rector's company. On top of everything, I was not currently working in the US. I spoke to her on the phone, she investigated the current market, and it became obvious that selling would be my best bet. She did comparisons with other homes in the neighborhood and we set a price which we both approved. However, within a week, the market began to soften and prices of comparable homes began to go down substantially. I was truly in a dilemma as there was a fair amount of repair that was required, whether I sold the house or not. I became anxious. And, indeed, this is the moment that could have ruined our working relationship or strengthen it as she was the expert...I was just the person with problems..who felt out of control. People do not show you his or her true self until you work with them in crisis. Indeed, Renee managed via the output of a great deal of energy and real interest in me reaching my goals as much as possible and it paid off. A slogan which talks about getting you to where you want to be can be considered just that---a slogan. But, in Renee's case, she and her company mean it. Though I did not offer the house at the original price, it was sold with my bottom line goal met: 1) the repairs would be paid for out of proceeds, 2) Renee's fee would be covered, and 3) I would not have to 'come out of pocket' at closing. Not only did she reach my bottom-line goal, I had a few bucks left over. Renee is amazing. She is truly a professional, knows her business, and most importantly, she keeps you informed every moment through the process, seeks approval for all steps, and is a person to be relied upon.
