Hi! My name is Suzanne Sweeney and Real Estate is my passion! I started my Real Estate "career" in 1984 as an Office Administrator for a small, local real estate company. After working with some very terrific agents, I decided to move to the "other side" of the desk! I received my Real Estate license in January 1988 and started part-time with moderate sucess. September, 1991, a "new" Real Estate Company ( new to our area-wildly sucessful in the West & mid-West) RE/MAX opened it's 1st office in New Windsor and immediately, 3 of the TOP AGENTS from another company came on board! I was impressed but also a bit intimidated. I wasn't sure I could measure up to those "big guns". But, I decided to try. That was in April 1992 and I have never looked back! Since then, I have helped over 700 familes in selling and buying a home,and I'm not going to stop anytime soon!
Most of my business is in Residential Real Estate in the Eastern part of Orange County. Since 1993, I have taken numerous education courses in order to expand my field of expertise & have received numerous designations. In Real Estate, these "designations" are akin to receiving a College degree. One of the first was the GRI designation- a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute ( think of it as an Associates degree). Then I received my CRS- Certified Residential Specialist. (Bachelors degree!). This designations was not awarded until after many hours of education, testing and documenting a certain number of sales.
I then pursued another specialty designation- ABR-Accredited Buyers Representative.Not only can I represent a seller as their agent, I can provide the same level of security to a buyer in their search and purchase of a property.
Since 1993,I have received the Orange County Association of Realtors(OCAR) Sales Award,RE/MAX 100% Club Award, RE/MAX Platinum Club Award was named to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 1999. I consistently rank in the top 1% of all the agents in OCAR.( presently over 2200 agents). Experience does count and my clients and customers know that they can count on me to get the job done.
In 2004, my son, Steven, a Business Graduate of SUNY-New Paltz, joined me and we have teamed up to provide an even greater level of service to past and new clients.
