The most successful Realtor I ever worked with had no initials next to his name.  Unlike him, I am an education freak, so I take all courses I think relevant to honing my knowledge of the real estate market and trends.  I also happen to hold several advanced degrees outside of the field of real estate, one of them an MA from Kean College (now Ken University) which I earned in 1980....tells you something about how old I am I guess.  I earned an Ed.D. from Rutgers University in 1984.  I was a social studies school teacher/department chair/supervisor at the time, in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

I jsut read that the graduation rate at Kean College in 2011 is 16%!   Shocking!  Appalling even.  What do such numbers mean when you tell people you attended that collage and graduated with a Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences?

My real estate designations are a CSP (Certified Sales Professional for new homes sales), a MIRM, earned from NAR's Institute for Residential Marketing, a four-part course in marketing and sales of new homes in new residential subdivisions, an e-PRO (Internet specialized instruction), an SFR designation identifying me as a short sale and foreclosures specialist, and a CDPE, a designation marking me as someone who knows how to handle the sale of distressed properties.

I am a mother, a grandmother, a home owner, a gardener, a water color painter, a person who works hard for her clients.

My listings sell for more than the average in the area and in fewer days than the average for the area.
