I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Management. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Member of Piedmont Association of Realtors, and I am licensed in NC and SC. After graduating from Clemson in 1992, I spent over a decade in Corporate America primarily in Marketing, Sales, and Project Management. I felt that these skills along with a pretty good technical know how would be good prerequisites for being a REALTOR.
Now in my 4th year in real estate, my intuition was correct. I love what I do and I enjoy helping people with what is often the most stressful purchase of their lives. I am an active volunteer with the Tega Cay Lions Club. The Lions Club gives me plenty of opportunity to get out into the community and give back. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife of 10 years, Rachel, and my two children, Jessica and Robert. Jessi, who is 6 keeps us busy between dance class, soccer, and gymnastics. Robbie, who is 2 just plain keeps us busy!
I love anything Clemson, classic cars, NASCAR, photography, and I am lucky enough to love what I do for a living. I'm also a technology buff and enjoy the challenge of trying to keep up with all the tech changes. One way to keep current is to always be developing new technology on the web as it pertains to the real estate market.
I host 3 websites which represent the most comprehensive photo tours of the area. Hundreds of photos/videos show you Tega Cay, Fort Mill, and Lake Wylie as if you were here yourself.

Steve Schwartz's Blog Posts
After 13 years in Corporate America doing everything from selling copiers to being a Project Manager implementing large scale software applications for a major defense contractor - I've picked up a lot of experience. Now in my 4th year in real estate, I have become well versed in helping people get through what is often the most stressful purchase of their lives.
Real Estate IS about sales, but it's also about being a Project Manager. The agent has a fiduciary duty to their client to make sure that everything with the transaction goes smoothly. This includes making sure the offer and acceptance process, the loan process, the inspection process, the title work process, the appraisal, survey, closing, and all the other nuances of the transaction are handled properly by all those professionals that an agent works with during a transaction. I am fortunate that my prior experience in sales, marketing, and Project Management were the perfect training grounds for this tough profession.
In real estate today, technology is king. According to the NAR, more than 82% of all people begin their home search on the internet. I love this aspect of the business and work hard to keep up with all the latest trends in technology. As a seller, you need an agent who is technically savvy or you may find yourself with a home that just sits on the market. Or, if you are on the buying side, you may find yourself missing out on a perfect buying opportunity.
I have both the experience and technical know-how to help guarantee a smooth real estate experience. I look forward to the opportunity to help you on your next transaction.
By the way, I also know a good bit about the importance of family. If you have questions about Soccer, Gymnastics, Dance Class, school info, or just about anything else - I'm living it, so I can help! Here's my pride and joy!
