My Independent service was created as a fresh look at a real estate agency based on my beliefs, values and experiences. I enjoy working with clients who share those values-people who think a person's word and handshake should mean more than a stack of corporate contracts. Those who appreciate an agent committed to "doing the correct and ethical thing" while at the same time, enjoying what she does. The industry has changed dramatically since I became a broker. What was traditionally a local, grassroots business has almost entirely consolidated into the hands of a few multi-national corporations. The result is that "policy" is determined by corporate executives. Alternatively, by making all decisions with clients, I can be flexible about service and marketing choices. Clients are guaranteed to be pleased. If not fully satisfied, a client may cancel the MLS Listing Agreement or Buyer Representation Agreement. As a member of the Multiple Listing Service, I cooperate with all agents, offering 50% of the agreed compensation to the cooperating broker. Referrals are made to brokers outside my working territory with special attention to identify experienced agents who share my philosophy. The goal for a Listing client is to sell their property for the highest possible price in the shortest period of time and with the least amount of stress and inconvenience to the Seller. Every effort is made to discover what is truly unique and special about each listing and relay this to Buyers, creating a specific need for that property above all the competition. For Buyer clients, I strive to truly understand individual needs and desires. I do everything possible to help Buyers  achieve their goal of acquiring a property that works well as both their next home and a fine financial investment. Working with me to either sell or buy a property will be an enjoyable experience for the client, and I hope the beginning of a long-term relationship.
