I stay in constant amazement at the continuing economic miracle of America. The genius of our economic power is that we continue to reinvent ourselves over and over again. The American financial marketplace is dynamic and constantly evolving; it is limited neither by geography, nor by natural resources, nor by artificial constraints; rather, it is powered by new ideas, new immigrants, new entrepreneurs and the two greatest motivators of all: hope and opportunity!

 Since 1990, I have employed a conservative and prudent philosophy of managing liabilities into assets and have helped thousands of Mid-Atlantic families create financial security from their mortgage payments. I have hosted a weekly "live call-in" radio show that focused on real estate and mortgage finance issues and I am currently teaching a series of workshops, for real estate agents, to help them master the new environment of social media and internet marketing. As a Certified Mortgage Planner, I collaborated with Todd Ballenger to help produce the book, Borrow Smart~Retire Rich. In addition, I am a contributing faculty member and speaker for the National Institute of Financial Education.

 I have been an active and successful real estate investor since 1978 and started my career in the residential mortgage industry in 1990. I am a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Prior to my mortgage career, I spent almost 20 years as a Wholesale Beer Distributor (Bud, Coors, Corona and Killians)

 My wife, Bonnie, and I reside in the small Virginia town of Locust Grove in a lovely lakefront, recreational community, located between the Rappahannock and Rapidan rivers. I work from my home-office in order to enjoy more time with my seven grand-kids. We are active in our church as well as in our neighborhood community. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, sailing and jet-skiing; I am an avid student of the American financial marketplace and passionate about helping my fellow American homeowners achieve their financial goals and dreams.
