Hello, My name is Tom Mulkerin. I am a realtor with Century 21 Home Finders in Kailua-Kona. I live in the Waikoloa Resort community on the Kohala coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. My wife and I instantly fell in love with the Kohala Coast and all it has to offer - the climate "bathed in sunshine nearly 365 days a year", secluded beaches, horseback riding, snow covered mountain peaks, and a relaxed attitude that only can only be found in Hawaii. The best part is that Hawaii is the United States so buying a piece of paradise is possible. You can start your morning on one side of the island watching the sun rise, spend the day in a rain forest, hike in the snow on Mauna Kea, or watch lava flowing down the side of Kilauea, and end your day swimming at the beach while watching the sunset. I learned to appreciate the calm beauty of a setting sun in Key West Florida, but nothing compares to how the sun melts away into the sea every night on the Big Island.
