Ultimately, real estate isn't about houses, land and 'location, location, location.' Although without them we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Most fundamentally, real estate is about people and the portion of their needs that can be met by finding and securing the right house on the right land in the appropriate location. And all the things that happen along the way- hopes, hard work, disappointments, delights, negotiating, fixing, grappling with finances, packing, moving, looking for 'missing items' in the new home...and discovering, once again, that home is where you and the people you love come together.

Welcome to the journey...

Ever wonder why professionals list a bunch of 'alphabet soup' after their names (besides showing off!)?

Those letters are 'shortcuts' to let you know what they bring to the table by way of special training & abilities to serve you. So here are mine-

J.D.- "Juris Doctor" - I graduated from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 1983. Real estate transactions are filled with legal aspects and legal language. I actually studied it and know what it means. I can explain it understandably to you and also guide you around the legal hazards. ABR- "Accredited Buyer Representative" - Buyers in Washington & Oregon (as well as many other states) can be represented by their own agent. If they are working with the listing agent, chances are the agent is acting as a dual agent. Although this is legal in Washington & Oregon, it may not be in the buyer's best interest to not have their own unbiased representation. In addition to my law school training, I've also earned the ABR designation which includes special training in how to most effectively represent my buyers' interests in a real estate transaction. e-Pro- "e-Pro"- a REALTOR® who has successfully completed the e-PRO training program for real estate professionals. I know and use the best tools to get you needed information and help you in your decision-making processes with a minimum of unnecessary running around. I also respect and guard your privacy in my handling of the confidential info you share with me. CRS- "Council of Residential Specialist"- Highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. It recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. In order to earn my CRS I- Had to have successfully completed at least 75 residential transactions. Had to successfully complete specialized advanced courses to help me- Be a better negotiator on behalf of my clients (both buyers and sellers). Understand how investment properties could be utilized for my clients wealth-building. Better serve my clients by taking the time to develop relationships with them to better meet their needs and the needs of friends and relatives they referred to me. SRES- "Seniors Real Estate Specialist"- REALTORS® specially trained and qualified to address the needs of home buyers and sellers age 50+. As a senior myself (and proud of it!), I want to be able to help other seniors address special issues relating to financial and lifestyle transitions we face in this stage of life, including- being sensitivities to 50+ issues on priorities when making buying and selling choices understanding how Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security impact 50+ real estate decisions helping clients integrate disposition of real property into estate plans knowing how to recognize mortgage finance and loan schemes and scams that victimize 50+ borrower
