I provide professional property inspections for buyers and sellers of homes and small commercial properties (under 20,000 SF).
Get to know Ken Winter, CRI
Before I became a Home Inspector, I spent 35 years as a Mechanical Engineer designing and troubleshooting equipment. I have taken the some of the skills I learned then and applied them to my Home Inspection career.
I have been inspecting home since 2003. My company's motto is "We inspect every home as if we were buying it." To make sure that I am always keeping up with the changes in building technology, I take many hours of Continuing Education every year; far more than what is required to maintain my license. I back up this knowledge with a wide variety of tools and instruments that help me detect and evaluate the condition of the property I am inspecting. I also give my clients "extras" that help set me apart from other home inspectors. Among these "extras" are lifetime FREE phone consultation service for problems that may come up years from now; a 90-Day warranty from the date of the inspections, which lasts up to 22 days after closing and the coverage is in addition to any warranty the seller gives them; and we check all the major appliances that remain with the house for any recall.
In addition to my training as a home inspector, I have also been trained in commercial inspections, included apartment buildings of 5 and more units, office condos, strip malls, office/warehouse combinations, houses converted to business use and mixed use buildings (retail on first floor with apartments above; pool and spa inspection; heat exchanger inspections and home energy audits (Home Energy Tune-uP).
In order to better serve my clients, I regularly enroll in continuing education courses to gain new knowledge and refresh things that I have learned in the past.
In the near future, I hope to purchase thermal imaging equipment, which will aid in my home inspections and expand the thoroughness of my energy audits
