My husband and I are semi-retired. He sold his IT company a few years ago and now enjoys investing in and consulting with various start-up companies in the Phoenix metro area. I'm a retired Paralegal and have worked with many of the Valley's most prestigious law firms. I now own a dog sitting service called "Li'l Critter Sitter". My husband and I both love little dogs (and big ones), and over the past 30 years of marriage we've always had a menagerie of furry kids running around our household. We both love to travel the country and enjoy being outdoors, wether touring on the Harley, or playing in the desert with our off-road toys.
One of my reasons for joining ActiveRain is that I'm seriously thinking about getting my real estate license. Many of our closest friends are real estate agents, and they're always prodding me to get into the business. Another reason, is my husband has invested in a couple real estate related start-ups, and has asked me if I would be interested in assisting with the marketing. Right now I haven't made a decision on either one. For now, I want to soak up as much knowledge as I possibly can concerning the real estate industry. ActiveRain seems to be the premier place to do just that. I've been on here for a few weeks now as a lurker, and have already learned a lot about the intricacies of the overall real estate business in various parts of the country.
I hope to learn a lot more, and am thankful for such a platform as ActiveRain to help me gain the knowledge I'll need to succeed in whatever endeavor I may choose.
