I like to joke that Oak Park has two of everything - 2 local newspapers, 2 els (the Blue and the Green lines), 2 temples and too many churches to count, less than 30 minutes to 2 airports (O'Hare and Midway), 2 public pools, 2 park district mansions, 2 main shopping districts, and 2 famous men (Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright both lived here). We also have a conservatory, an ice skating rink, a first run movie theater with multiple screens, close proximity to downtown Chicago and the ability to get out of town quick via the Eisenhower Expressway.
