VACANT HOME STAGING

Although equally skilled in staging occupied properties, Betsy specializes in staging trust sales and vacant properties.  She finds it very rewarding to help clients who are selling the property of a family member but have no idea how to get it ready to put on the market.  Since most of these homes have been lived in for decades, they often need some updating.  Betsy advises clients on how to make the house feel current without undertaking the time and expense of full scale remodeling.  In addition to providing room-by-room evaluations she also provides clients with different budget options, based on prioritizing the projects.  Since the client often lives out of the area in a trust sale situation, Betsy will also act as the general contractor, making sure the house is ready on time and on budget.  She and her team of handymen, electricians and painters help the client transform dated properties into stylish homes that stand out from the competition.

OCCUPIED HOME STAGING

Clients who will be living in the home during the sale will receive an Occupied Staging Report.  This report will give suggestions on how to enhance, neutralize and make rooms more appealing to the greatest number of buyers.  Betsy assists in recommending the best position for furniture in a room, what colors to paint walls, suggested repairs, and what items should be packed away.  She will also supply accessories, artwork and sometimes furniture, if needed, to help with the transformation.

ReDESIGN SERVICES

Sometimes homeowners want to freshen up the look of their home, even though they are not planning to sell.  Betsy provides ReDesign Consultations to help clients see a particular room or all the rooms in a new way.  While Interior Design involves detailed and complex integration of a client’s personality into the space, ReDesign is similar to Home Staging in helping the homeowner to simplify and neutralize the function and appearance of a room.
