I have been a Realtor Associate in the Keene area since 2003, after retiring from a 25 year baking career - some of you may remember me from Jean's Pastry Shop. I enjoy outdoor activities including canoeing, camping, snowmobiling and landscaping, to name a few. I love exploring the outdoors of NH, especially right here in Chehsire County. Winter time is my favorite time of year and I LOVE snow. I grew up down hill skiing - learning at Pinnacle Mt in Roxbury, now known as Granite Gorge. In the 90's I taught cross country skiing at Northfield Mt, I thought that was the most fun job ever - getting paid to ski! I've also spent many hours in a canoe. Every 4th of July I enjoyed canoe camping at Harris Center's Site #4 at pristine and beautiful Spoonwood Pond in Hancock, listening to the call of the loons, observing the eagles catching fish for their nesting young and catching some beautiful bass myself. A few years back I realized that I was ready to trade in sleeping on the ground and digging latrines for a remote cabin in the great northwoods, no electricity, cell service or running water, but there is an outhouse and beds with mattresses! In the winter access to the cabin is via snowmobile only, about 6 miles in. We have a scoot that we pull behind one of the snowmobiles for our supplies. The cabin is cozy with gas lights and huge gas range and toasty wood stove, we eat good at camp! At night we fall asleep listening to Long Mt. Brook flowing past our cabin. New Hampshire is truly a beautiful state with amazing natural resources and I consider myself very lucky to be able to call myself a native. AYUH, I'm a native :)
So far in my real estate career I have assisted many buyers who have purchased second homes and retirement homes. It has been such a pleasure to work with these groups of people and I have made lasting friends. I also have a good bit of experience with the antique homes, which I find fascinating, I just love the history and imagine the people who lived in the homes 100 or even more than 200 years ago! Land sales are also one of my favorites, I guess because I love to be outside, my partner is a licensed forester, so our careers parallel nicely.
I am a member of the Monadnock Board of Realtors, NH Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
