I have categories and the method and frequency of contact varies. I will say my VIPS, the A group get a lot of LOVE from me. An invite to coffee or lunch, handwritten notes, phone calls, emails, Facebook comments - I vary it and always make it personal. NEVER do I ask for business...

quarterly I host a get together at a local restaurant, and I buy appetizers and everyone buys their own drinks... folks love it and from time to time bring a friend who is ready to buy or sell.... LOVE how it's worked for me.

We do email newsletter and for core customers (we have a lot of customers), I'm sending out 3-4 send out cards per year w/ tips about their house and/or to prolong life of floors. I'm hoping to find some time in Dec to also call these core customers but there may not be enough time...I may need to space out through end of Feb.
Also, we give them a small thank you gift after install, call at 3 months and at 1 yr, they get a happy birthday to their floor card.

I love Tammy Lankford 's idea. It's not terribly expensive to do either! Thanks for sharing.
We don't do enough, so I'm interesting in seeing the responses! Something we do is send out Broncos football schedules and magnetic calendars. Of course, both items are mailed and it's a passive form of marketing.

Being from a smaller town it is easier. Being involved in the community puts me in touch. Emails, mailouts, open houses and putting on seminars helps too.

I mostly use calls, hand written cards and e-mails. But this time of year I order a decent size calendar from www.magnetstreet.com. It can be personaized, has room for the customers to write on and has a magnet back to hang on the fridge if they would like. Customers look forward to them and you stay fresh in their minds everyday!

Patricia,
Get together for lunch. Two lunches recently netted us two signups for our services, and an additional stable of potentials. We did the same thing BI before the Internet (even though we were first adapters), and AI (after the Internet). If you are aiming for a mid to high 6 figure income, this has worked for our clients. The majority of our clients focuse on schmoozing, and creating community connections...A

Regular mass email is the easy way. The most effective contacts are by phone and face to face.

I try to call them on their special occasions such as birthday, anniversary and things like that. It gives me a chance to reconnect.

Depends on what the client likes:
I do video email with my Talk Fusion account
I use Send Out Cards for mailing cards to their home address
I text for quick appointment and meeting confirmations
Phone calls with a message to their voicemails if they don't pick up
I also use Contactually for quick email messages every 30 days.
My Facebook Business page (some on my personal page once in a while)
My Twitter acccount when I find a nice article or quote
Pinterest with great pictures
Sounds like a lot right?....But this is really only 20 minutes that I make time for....each day.
Contact me if you have questions. kwsmith3443@sbcglobal.net

Debbie Gartner I have friends who do it monthly, but because so many of my buyers are second home owners and not always here at the same time quarterly works for me and I always invite the folks who buy and live here full time too who are about the only ones who show up in winter months.

He Patricia, I mail to them every quarter and do pop-bys 3 times a year. They are always glad to see me.

I also love Tammy Lankford 's idea. we were talking about doing one for the realtors in January. Maybe we should do twice a year.

I send handwritten notes to anyone who sends me a referral. This usually gets me a phone call thanking me for the note. (which gives me an opportunity to ask for more referrals)
