I have seen both types of trees done really well.  Personally, I would use the service of renting a live tree, and having them take it and recycle it next year. I would definitely decorate even if my home was for sale, it gives the buyers an opportunity to visualize how great a home can look.  A

I like a real tree although we use an artificial one.

I personally would recommend a real, natural tree. The scent itself will draw buyers to stay longer at the house. The more time one spends at a property, the more likely they will fall in love with it.

Well, I'm not decorating either, Gita.  Primarily because I'm Jewish.

Though, I do love the smell of a real tree.

Yes, to decoration. Maybe less than usually, but definitely the house looks better with Holidays decorations.

I would suggest an artificial tree( no mess)  and few candles for an aroma of holidays.

What's the neighborhood doing, you don't want to be the only home with lights.. As far as a tree you can't go wrong. Nothing better than a good fresh smelling tree decorated for the season...

Gabe, Happy holidays. I am sure you decorate for Hanukkah.

Debbie, Based on the comments I believe most people like a real tree.
