I do not go to brokers open houses unless I have a buyer looking for the specific type of house.

Brokers tours are usually filled with new agents who are mandated to go as a away to learn inventory and the market. I don't go to find a home for a client. If I have a client needing certain criteria, they are being shown what fits their needs anyway, if the property is on the list they will see it.

I'm thinking about going back to see brokers OH to actually meet agents of my area. There are so many new names....Usually I prefer checking inventory for a specific client needs or criteria.

I like to see what is available to then know first hand what is available to match to a buyers needs. It is much easier to sell homes you know or have seen.

I enjoy the opportunity to go to broker opens to meet other agents and often see a home that I might not otherwise get into - if nothing more than not to have to set an appointment to see it.

Lately, I haven't been going on the tour very much, Noah. But, in the past, I use it to see the inventory and it gives me a feel for the market to better serve both buyers and sellers.

Noah,
Since we are looking to relocate, I do go to Brokers tours, it keeps us sharp and opens our minds to possibilities. We did the same when we had our commercial real estate company, we knew every square foot of available space in the area! A

Yes, yes and yes Noah Seidenberg a little first hand knowledge goes a long way to help describe a winning home for your customer. Not too much in the way of "vintage" here athough some contemporaries blew me away with their interior design features. Eyes capture so much more than any picture can!

I can't remember the last time we had a Broker's tour here in Charlotte to see new listings. They are simply not well attended as our market is so spread out. I just preview homes on my own that I think would suit buyer clients.

Noah Seidenberg seriously, no. I know this is the best way to learn about the inventory - however, never get excited about that!
