I would advise putting some thought regarding the intent and consequence.
Who are you blasting to? If these are unknown folks who have provided their email address and it ended up on a list you possess, take care to use a e-mail service and IP that is expendable.
If these are folks who do not know you, but have requested something from a unknown source (opt-in) you will want to keep these addresses separated from the 'met you' data base. For these I would recommend any of the resources already mentioned.
For those you have met, they are in your CRM and should be receiving highly targeted messages that may be gender or passion specific.
Before you pull the trigger on your BLAST, make certain you are prepared for the consequences or have taken measures to shield your business.
Before you choose to use YOUR internet connection to send big emails, chat with your internet service provider and ask them the 'email block sizes' they impose. (time warner is 50) Use a blaster like SendBlaster that allows you to adjust your block sizes so your ISP does not shut you down.
Lastly, always test the service yourself. Sending emails with disabled links and vacant images will not produce the results you want.

LOL...thank you Lynn B. Friedman for writing all that out so I do not have to do it. Ditto what Lynn said, ixact contact. It is the only CRM I have tried that I actually use! I have tried a few but ixact is super easy and intuitive to ise.
We like Vertical Response, that is our choice for doing that.
ChimpMail is pretty darn good and free at many levels. It looks good too.
Good answer from Annette.
ChimpMail continues to improve, one of the challenges of using a service like that is it can get tagged as spam or promotions in gmail and many things don't reach the recipient.
You should take a look at Top Producer.
We use KWCommand and eEdge.
Not an expert at this.
I don't like email blasts.
