You will find you need at least THREE websites to aid the consumer to find what they need before they can take action. Why let the search engines determine your fate, make it easy for the buyer or seller to choose you by making it easy for them to find YOUR answer to their questions.
One website, the professional website provided by your broker or franchise, is to validate you as the professional you are. This is NOT a lead generate but an essential process the buyer or seller will use to validate you.
Next, they need social proof. Those little icons with the f and g and p and birdie and + are the portals you provide to allow the consumer to further validate you in a broader context.
Allowing the consumer to stuble upon synonyms to AWESOME regarding your, will be extremely beneficial.
The third point of consumer validation can be achieved through the social media links but often does not provide the same weighting as a non-aligned resource.
The third source should be location specific.
As you can see, two web sources are for validation, but leads originate from the resource YOU have intended to generate leads. This means you must have a deliberate process to direct traffic to THE lead generating website with all the validation resources available within it.
You should be thinking, marketing plans and landing pages. That is the origin of high quality leads.
Be aware, the consumer may click the 'contact Tabitha" button on any of these sites. The process, however, remains the same.

Hi Tabitha, I have a broker provided website, BUT I put my web page in front of it, with my branding. My company has been bought and sold over the years and been 3 different things. I'm working on my brand not theirs.
which is more inviting?
Karensoldit.net or karen.sanchez@realliving.com
The website is just a landing page. It's not going to do the work for me. It just gives me an online presences.

Tabitha Rector-Richardson it all depends on how you market your website. And what kind of content you have on it.
I am sure I did get some leads when I have a 'call-to-action' on my blog post that lands on my website.
