Open House on Super Bowl on Sunday? When Pats are playing? No way!.

In fact major holiday weekends, Mother's Day, Father's Day are big 'no no', too.

I am not this year but have in past years. I tied the theme to the Super Bowl. I did have visitors and remember they said they were on the way to a party and others said they don't like football. It can work.

Jill Murty, Realtor  - I suspect there ar eplenty of people who are interested in buying who will be out looking, regardless of the Superbowl. And it starts late anyhow

Gita Bantwal  - Have fun!

Many will not try to compete with the game excitement. If you do have an open house, have it early.

Most likely a waste of time, and i would bet most owners would not want to deal with an open house on superbowl Sunday.

I had one a few weeks ago during a Sunday playoff game.  While I consider the event fairly successful, I would not plan for another during a big game day.  However, an evening game wouldn't stop me from a daylight open house.  In SC, college football takes precedence over NFL games (I'm originally from Ohio's Browns/Bengals teams), so Saturdays here in the fall are not necessarily the best time either.  Timing is everything.  I will now pay more attention to sports schedules.

Around here I am seeing most of them scheduled for early in the day - around 11:30-1.  That's plenty of time to get back to see the game or to your Superbowl party.  Often on Mothers Day weekend and similar weekends I see open houses on Saturday instead of Sunday.

Praful Thakkar - I get that

Debbie Reynolds  -I woud think a theme would be fun.

Gita Bantwal - it makes the timing of an OH easier, doesn't it?

I've hosted open house on Super Bowl Sunday before.  I advertised that the game would be on at the open house and I had a good amount of traffic!

No I am not going to have an open house on Sunday because I will be having friends over. I do not mind hosting an open house from 1 to 3 as the game is late in the evening..
