I think that they dont want to be pesterd with return calls over and over. Many more will put in an email before a phone number

Most already know what their home is worth, and they don't want realtors calling and emailing them. Too mamny spammers out there.

They are afraid that agents will call them or knock on their door. I do not like to give my address or telephone number when I call companies to ask for information.

I like Praful Thakkar idea, and it helps differentiate you vs. all the other ads out there.  Also, ListingstoLeads is the place I was thinking about.

I think a lof to this is also that many are not ready to sell and may not be for many years.  Some may only want to know the value to decide whether to sell now or later.

I do not think it is just Realtor's.  We all know that once we give out one bit of information we then go directly into their system.  The consumer needs be at a very serious stage of their looking to feel comfortable committing the that.  mark

Cindy, it can be hard to get information from people with this type of ad.  A lot of agents put out mailers and ads offering free home value estimates.  It can work in a geographic farm or center of influence where people already know you.  But with strangers, getting information can be a challenge.

Cindy Davis - That's a tough one.  Bad apple realtors have created a negative perception that's hard to overcome in an online ad.

If the ad is relatively inexpensive, keep running it and some nice consumers who authentically want to know the value of their home will emerge as the gems among the dirt.

If there's an option to write your ad in a way that says people who provide fake information need not click, that would be great.

Yes, Jill said it well.  And, they especially feel that if it's an online ad.

BTW, there is a site (I forget the name) that will automatically show their address.  I read about it on here - maybe a 6 months or a year ago.

Cindy - I believe people are always interested in information, but that may be all they want. They don't want to provide their real email because they really do not want anyone to contact them/harass them/sell them, etc. They just want to check out how much their home is worth and do it anonymously.
