Yes - we always have desk work.
I would sleep a lot and after that: create as many blog as I could ( you can schedule them for a future date), update my FB pages, send few 'hello' emails, and update my online presentation.
Why there is never snow in L.A.?!
I both want and need to retake blogging bootcamp but haven't taken the time to do it. Even with a snow day I have so much to do I still haven't done it.
It would have to knock out my phone to really give me free time. But if my phone wasn't ringing, I think the best use of my time would be writing as much fresh content as I could for my website.
I need some time off...I might relax for the day. After about two hours of that, though, I would probably start getting a bit antsy, and I would probably defer to my list of things I promised myself I will get around to working on later.
We don't have snow days in Florida. But, occasionally get hurricanes. And in those cases I'm usually not thinking about business but rather on survival!
FYI we just had 19" of new snow in Chicago and I did not leave my house today but made phone calls, sent emails, and did some prospecting for new business.
Lots of snow days in Connecticut e.g. today. Doing admin stuff.
Get on the phone to make all of those calls you deferred because you were too busy. More people are at home on snow days when the schools are closed.

Last week during the big storm as everyone shut down, i caught up on everything i needed to do. Monthly status reports on my bank owned listings. Caught up on checking old emails. Filed all those papers that stacked up. Answered the non stop ringing phone where consumer after consumer told me no other agent was answering their phone. Got a new listing, set up lots of showings and made for a great week.
I'm working on seo copy, etc on new website. Also, lining up some advertising.
It is a good idea to make a ist of things you can do from home and keep it handy so you can do it someof the things on a snow day.
We've been having a lot of those lately. I keep putting aside work projects to get done. Some of those include writing high quality blog posts, marketing projects, paperwork (e.g. paying bills, getting books in order for acct, etc) - things I need to get done anyway (and then frees me up to focus on sales, etc on non snow days.
I have several of these set aside to achieve for today.
I will also call and follow up w/ some customers in the afternoon (after they've settled and/or shoveled driveway and/or steps.
We have maybe one those once a year in Charlotte--I use the time to refine my website, clean up my email inbox, etc.
