Joshua Clemons -- Market Leader will not let you create links or RSS on their website.
Gary Branscombe -- I have been using Market Leader for over four years. I absolutely hate it. Here is a shortlist of my gripes:
- The notices I get when a new lead comes in come to my e-mail and as text messages. They contain no useful information but wastes most of the message on "log in to Market Leader to reply."
- Market Leader expects you to use their database to track your activity and interaction with your leads. I want to use another CRM and lead management tool as I get leads from other sources.
- Market Leader owns the domain. I will lose all the investment I have made when I stop paying them. I plan to stop paying for websites I do not own.
- My list of gripes is much longer but I have other things to do so I will stop here.

I have been using Market leader for a little over a year. Like any other web based lead gen platform it only works as much as you put into it. You need to drive traffic to the site to capture leads. The follow up software and email system is excellent and it will import leads from any other source(zillow , trulia, realtor) . There are some thing I feel could be better. The standard website layout looks very generic and I would love to rss feed to the site for blogs and posts to increase SEO ranking. You may be able to do that , I have yet to find a way.
Hope this helps.

I researched it and decided to pass. Didn't look like the best investment of my time or money.

I have purchased thousands of leads from Market Leader. This is a very difficult route to follow. You will be better in the long run to generate leads from your personal contacts.

Hi Gary! Our team has experience in using Market Leader and and it is very user friendly in terms of lead management. If you are looking for a lead prospecting and management solution, I would suggest checking out Commissions Inc. We've used it with great success with our clients.
I also checked your website. Out of curiosity, how do you track of and keep in touch with your internet leads?

I would say it depends. I used them quite a few years ago and had tremendous results... so many that I couldn't keep up (I'm only one person). Then I stopped using them because I was managing to generate quite a bit of business though my online strategies. When business began to dissipate I tried them again. The second time was not good. I generated far more leads on my own. So mine is a mixed experience.

Thank you everyone for your input. So I see there are pros and cons. I agree with John Mosier that they own the domain so if you stop using them then you basically starting over again with your personal website. I guess I am just trying to figure out how to drive business to your personal webpage when their are thousands of agents that do the same thing.

I use them. Software has its glitches as all software does regardless of who the company is, but overall a good CRM to manage leads (not clients, but leads).

Gary Branscombe a software or service is as good as you use it. I use both Market Leader and Top Producer and like both of them.

Not personally no, isn't mW gives to all their agents? If it is, that is recommendation enough.

Market Leader hosts my website. I don't use their lead generation though but had a friend that did and she couldn't keep up with all the leads.

I have used Market Leader on two seperate occasions, in two different states. My first payment of $300 a month for lead generation came in Roanoke, VA, my hometown. It proved profitable quickly, and I paid for two years.
I then moved to Durham, NC and did not use them for six months or so, and then began to pay them for three years. It provided a net gain for the first two years, and then the third, nothing. I dropped it last January 2014 after a dry year.
