Great question. Not everyone I speak to but maybe I should.
Here's an example for you. For the last two weekends I have been shopping for a car for my 16 year old son. The lady that I had used in the past retired and the delership sold... so I just started fresh. While shopping, I found myself handing out business cards. At least two dozen. We finally decided on a car at a popular local dealer and I handed out five cards at this dealer alone ... But I can tell you one of their names .... I was so consumed with my sons first car that I dropped the ball on these fantastic prospects. Thanks to your question, I plan on going back and getting contact info.

I don't have a goal number. I just add the ones as they come in. Some months have more than others and some people I come in contact with I don't add. There are some people that I don't click with.

I enter every email I get into my newsletter database. But in terms of circles...there are so many different kinds of contacts...from social media, from phone calls, emails, and so on. I do different things with every contact depending upon the situation.
