We don't send Easter Cards. Easter is a Christian Holy Day that has morphed into Bunny Rabbits and Easter Eggs, which have nothing to do with the origin of the day. Having said that, (thanks for the vent :), if we did, it would reflect how we celebrate Easter. We do not have a large client base who would not celebrate it, but in your area, there are so many cultures that sending Easter cards might not be appropriate at all.

I honestly never did that busy work....yes, I call that busy work.... I market to hit them up for business.... not to keep them aware that I'm in the business....they all know I'm in the business....

Thinking outside the box

I don't have time to separate the apples from the bananas. I think, if someone received a greeting for a holiday they don't celebrate, they can just toss it.

If they are offended, I don't think we would not work well together anyhow.

No. I do not send Easter cards.  I do send birthday cards with a $5 starbucks card and I send Christmas Cards.  Sometimes, if I am in the mood, I will send Thanksgiving cards and let people know I am thankful for them.

I think any card is a personal way to keep in touch. There are so many different Holidays for different groups BUT as a Realtor it should be taken as a gesture of kindness. I am confident that none of these cards really have strong religious messages. A poistive thought and or gesture is a form of communication and touching base with a past client.

OR just send Spring cards to all.

The question I read is whether one chooses to be authentic, transparent, vulnerable or to be a real estate agent engaged in marketing.

If Easter means nothing to you. then send bunnies and eggs. No one will be offended.

If Easter does mean something to you, sharing the hope is not such a bad thing either. In a world where news is dominated by people writing their last chapter, does not the enduring legacy of peace not deliver a needed message?

Those who understand Easter will be found early that morning anticipating the sunrise.

I would choose to be authentic, share hope, and not worry about hope being an unacceptable message. You are more likely to discover that hope is the universal message the binds us all into one. Can you be so bold?

Scott Godzyk - I admire all of you in NE who are still working! I don't know how you sell a house when you can't even see it behind the piles of snow- my daughter is at Boston College- thank heavens I got her a really warm down coat this year! I think I will look into flower seeds for this year too! Maybe money plants?

I stay away from religious cards and go more w/ the season.  Or I pick an offbeat holiday like Groundhog's day.  Last year, I did a card for spring cleaning tips and this year for floors that are best if you have allergies.

Partially because we do not celebrate Easter.

I send cards for just about every holiday, but Easter. I do a mailing of my baseball schedules in the spring, and I guess that's why I never sent out Easter cards.
