Usually biege, but wouldn't that depend on the part of the world you are from? If Georgia, then reddish-brown. If Hawaii, then Hawian Tropic? Oh! Wait! What was the question again?

Puce.
Because I like to say it.
Puce.
Because I like to see people nod and say interesting choice and then rush to check online for a definition and examples.
Puce.

Actually, this depends on what you're talking about...if it's carpet, I'll stick w/ my previous ans. If it's hardwood - some form of brown (and no red tones). If it's clothes, black.
If it's nail polish, it's french manicure white on white.
If it's shoes, white if it's summer, black if it's winter.

Usually beige...but often taupes and grays work better and are more stylish.

I'd have to say taupes with a grey undertones like Benjamin Moore Old Montreal, Inukshuk or Smokey Taupe.

Beige is the first color that comes to mind. I have a feeling this is another Cloudburst question, Roger! :)

Balanced Beige by Sherwin Williams. (A warm grey because of the brown undertones but still modern). Is that specific enough. LOL

In my area, most people tend to think of a light beige when they hear "neutral color" and it's the color most often found in properties that are flipped. Essentially, they think of light colors (off-white, beige, light gray) that go with just about any other color you may bring into the home (furniture, decor, linens, etc.).

I think of white, beige, off-white, eggshell, soft gray as all being neutral colors.
