The CRS designation has given me the best education and ongoing tools with the magazine and webinars. I recommend it highly if you want to step up your business.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson In my experience, it hasn't mattered at all or very little. Most people have no idea what the acronyms mean nor do they even ask. I'd say earning my Broker's license was the best thing I've done , thus most important to me. But even with that, most non-industry folks don't really know the difference between a broker or an agent. Same goes for an agent or a Realtor (most think those are the exact same thing!)

CPM (Certified Property Manager).
However, my law degree (Juris Doctor) has probably been my most valuable credential.

I agree with Debbie and Paul. The CRS has been the most valuable for me. The classes were fantastic and I've referred clients through the network of agents. I've also been referred to.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson In my opinion, the best designation a real estate agent can have is Broker or Associate Broker on their card. Buyers and Sellers understand what a Broker is in this business.

Go to Panera Bread, or Starbucks or McD's or the parking lot, or your title company or those in your church or kite flying club or drum circle night, and flash in front of them one card at a time contain all the designations you can buy. "Do you recognize this? What does it mean to you?"
Now, who is being fooled other than the agent who just saw the money grow wings.
Let your public tell you want is of greatest value. You won't need to guess and it won't be a close contest. You WILL know what is most marketable.
Now, if your question is about the soft and fuzzy side of association, community and learning...that is different. The CDPE was VERY important education and beneficial....but now has sunset.
